Birmingham, AL. This position is full-time onsite in Memphis, TN at

Introduction: Do you have an eye for details and a passion for
making sure things are done right? We're hiring a Field and
Construction Inspector- a specialist role that's crucial to the
success of our construction delivery. What you'll bring: Position
Summary: The Field and Construction Inspector is responsible for
inspecting the work of sanitary/stormwater contractors performing
construction and to ensure the work performed by contractors is in
accordance with the specifications within contract documents. This
position is onsite in Memphis, TN at various construction
locations. A problem-solver's mindset with the ability to think

excellence. Essential functions: · Inspect and document the work
performed by contractors is in compliance with contract
specifications. · Coordinate activities to resolve any access
issues which inhibit the contractor from successfully performing
required tasks. · Investigate critical incidences to ensure field
information is gathered to successfully address the incidence. ·
Follow up and ensure incidences are resolved. · Review CCTV video
of lines assessed by contractors to ensure quality control and to
make recommendations on repair, rehabilitation, and any future
maintenance activity of the line. · Oversee inspection of all work
being performed by the contractors according to specification and
drawings. · Verify contractor compliance with codes, regulations,
site materials, and specifications. · Maintain inspection records.
· Recommend requirements for remedial corrective actions. · Prepare
detailed documentation of construction progress and inspection;
prepare various reports on daily operations and activities.
Qualifications: · Education- GED or Highschool degree required;
Associate degree preferred with thorough knowledge of construction
practices, techniques, materials and equipment related to
construction. · Skills- Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
· Experience- Experience in the installation, rehabilitation, and
repair of sanitary/storm sewers and/or the operation and
maintenance of sanitary sewer systems. Ability to read and
interpret applicable engineering construction plans, maps and
specifications. · Certifications: o Required: TDOT HMA Roadway
Inspector, TDOT Concrete Technician/ACI Grade 1, TDOT Aggregate
Testing Technician o Preferred: TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician, TDOT
Nuclear Guage Technician, EPSC 1 Competencies: · Basic
understanding of construction principles and standard building
practices. · Read, interpret, understand and apply standards and
procedures, applicable Federal rules and regulations. · Highest
commitment to safety operations and standards. · Assess and
prioritize multiple tasks, projects and demands. · Communicate
effectively in verbal and written forms. Typical Physical Demands
or Working Conditions: · Work will be primarily outside, and the
associate will be exposed to both hot and cold working conditions.
· Associates may be exposed to traffic hazards, dangerous animals,
insects, poisonous plants, and weeds. · Requires the ability to be
able to walk for long distances while carrying equipment. · You
will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift,
push, pull, and carry items. · Must be able to lift manhole covers
(typically 100lbs or less) utilizing tools and to use other tools
such as a sledgehammer, pickaxe, or shovel. · Field work will
require the traversal of uneven terrain, across ditches and
exposure to loud noises. Technology Demands: It is not a
prerequisite to be proficient in any of the following, but the
technician must be prepared to engage with the following
technologies: Microsoft Office Suite and handheld GPS devices.
