In this role, you will provide expert care to patients undergoing major cardiovascular procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and other high-stakes surgeries. You will be part of a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art operating room, contributing to life-saving surgeries for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. -Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
  • Monitor patients' conditions throughout surgery, ensuring stable vitals, proper anesthesia administration, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure smooth operations during high-acuity cardiovascular procedures.
  • Provide patient education on pre and post-operative care and manage any immediate complications that arise.
  • Sterile technique maintenance and ensuring proper equipment and instruments are used during procedures.
  • Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a focus on patient care and safety.Requirements:
    • Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) is required.
    • First-Timers Accepted: No, unless you have 3+ years of recent CVOR experience.
    • Certifications:
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
      • BSN Preferred: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, though not required.
      • Shift Requirement: The position requires 4x10 hour shifts, but the exact shift times may change based on the needs of the facility.
      • Call Requirement: Yes, on-call duties will be required.
      • Weekend Requirement: As needed.
      • Floating: May be required to float to other departments within scope as needed.
      • Local Radius Rule: No locals accepted, travelers must live 100 miles or more from the facility.
      • Pending License Accepted: No, all travelers must be compliant with NLC guidelines.
      • RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be submitted at the time of submission, and Memorial Day and 4th of July off requests will not be accepted.Hospital Highlights:
