role provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout
labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period. This position
is ideal for adaptable, skilled nurses who thrive in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide care for
laboring, delivering, and postpartum mothers and their newborns in
a combined setting. Manage continuous fetal monitoring and assist
with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Deliver immediate
newborn care, support breastfeeding, and provide patient education.
Handle antepartum admissions, post-delivery recovery, and newborn
nursery assessments. Collaborate closely with healthcare providers,
anesthesia, lactation consultants, and support staff. Complete
accurate documentation, discharge teaching, and patient follow-up
education. Ideal Candidate: Adaptable, proactive, and confident in
caring for both mothers and newborns. Strong communicator who
remains calm under pressure and thrives in a team-based

Role: Unpredictable patient volumes and high-acuity cases require
flexibility and quick critical thinking. Nurses may float between
labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery areas. Department Mission:

preparing families for a confident transition home. Traveler
Support: Clear orientation and guidance ensure a smooth transition
into unit protocols and workflows. Clarifications around patient
ratios, unit expectations, and resources are provided upfront.
Opportunities: Extensions are common based on unit needs and nurse
performance. There is potential for permanent role conversion after
assignment completion. Ongoing training available in advanced fetal
monitoring, high-risk antepartum care, procedures, and newborn
resuscitation. Qualifications & Attributes: Strong multitasking,
critical thinking, and patient education skills are essential. A
positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork are required.
Familiarity with obstetric and neonatal certifications preferred;
training provided as needed. Unit Details: Staffing and scheduling
include block scheduling. Patient ratios are 4-5 per nurse. Float
may be required between postpartum, nursery, and other areas. Daily
census ranges between 4 to 8 patients. Number of beds in the unit
