Job Description:
CommuniCare Health Services is seeking a compassionate and
competent Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Crisis Stabilization
Unit. This role demands acute sensitivity and proficiency in
managing patients in mental health crises, providing immediate
therapeutic intervention and ongoing support. The ideal candidate
will be an empathetic caregiver with robust clinical skills,
committed to influencing the lives of patients with respectful and
expert nursing care. Responsibilities include assessing patient
conditions, administering medication, collaborating with
psychiatrists, and maintaining comprehensive patient records.
Conduct complete assessments of patient health status, identify
changes, and plan interventions. Administer medications and
treatments as prescribed and monitor responses. Collaborate with
psychiatric staff to plan and implement care for patients in
crisis. Educate patients and families on management of their
condition and prevention strategies. Maintain accurate and
up-to-date patient records. Participate in the development and
modification of care plans. Advanced knowledge of nursing care
principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in handling
mental health emergencies. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a
fast-paced environment. Skill in using healthcare software and
systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
practice. CPR certification required. Certification in Psychiatry
or Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
