Are you a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon looking for a locum tenens opportunity? A reputable healthcare provider in the Whiteville, TN area is seeking a qualified physician for temporary coverage in early 2025. Position Details: Dates: February 21 March 3, 2025. Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours with call responsibilities. Practice Setting: Outpatient, with hospital privileges required. Support Staff: Includes 3 physician assistants and office staff. EMR Systems: Athena for outpatient, Centricity at the hospital. Credentialing Timeline: Estimated 60-90 days. Responsibilities: Outpatient clinic 1-2 days per week (approximately 35 appointments). Rounding in the hospital, averaging 15 patients daily (2-4 hours). Call coverage with 0-2 callbacks per 24-hour shift and less than 10 calls overall. Performing a variety of procedures, including: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Valvular repairs and replacements (AVR, MVR). Thoracic procedures such as lung resections. Vascular surgeries (optional but preferred), including aortic dissection repair and carotid endarterectomy. Qualifications: License: Active Tennessee medical license required. Board Certification: Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (fellowship preferred). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Additional Details: Temporary privileges are available. No admissions required during the assignment. Lodging and travel expenses may be reimbursed.
