Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with a focus on operating room care is sought for a contract position located in Belen, NM. This role offers the opportunity to work within surgical services, providing critical patient care throughout perioperative procedures. The schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts per week, running from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call responsibilities approximately 4 to 5 shifts every six weeks, including weekends. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the operating room setting, closely monitoring patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, sterile technique adherence, and efficient surgical flow. Respond promptly to call shifts, providing expert nursing support as needed. Float between two neighboring healthcare facilities, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in diverse clinical environments. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license with specialization in operating room nursing. Preferred minimum of 2 years of OR experience; candidates with at least 1 year may be considered. Previous travel nursing experience is preferred, but first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Ability to work call shifts and float between facilities. Professional approach to patient care and teamwork.
