Travel Nursing Job Details - Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (West Tennessee healthcare job) - Unit/Setting: Med/Surg (Medical-Surgical) - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (ends 05/25/2026) - Schedule: 36 hours/week - Shift: Days - Shifts per Week: 3 - Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts - Openings: 4 - Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,777 – $1,974 Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements - RN License: Active Registered Nurse license (state-specific requirements apply) - Certifications: AHA BLS (required prior to first shift); AHA ACLS (required prior to first shift) - Experience: Two (2) years bedside clinical RN experience highly desired - Additional Experience: Critical care experience required - Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment - Ability to document accurately in the EMR and follow hospital policies and patient safety standards Med/Surg RN Responsibilities - Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized plans of care - Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) - Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time in the EMR per policy - Share patient status updates for initial and weekly interdisciplinary team conferences - Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide patient/family education to support safe transitions - Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the care team, including the charge nurse and provider - Delegate appropriately and provide direction/supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees - Promote patient and staff safety through safe patient handling, infection prevention, and fall-risk awareness - Support unit operations by communicating supply/equipment needs and participating in team-building efforts - Assume charge responsibilities after orientation as needed Apply now to join this travel nursing opportunity and bring your Med/Surg and critical care expertise to a high-impact assignment in Jackson, TN.
