Job Details — Travel RN / Med-Surg Tele RN - Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Jackson, Tennessee nursing jobs) - Assignment Type: Travel RN (travel nursing job) - Unit: Med/Surg Tele (B8 - Med/Surg) - Start Date: March 23, 2026 - End Date: June 22, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (06:45 - 19:15) - Hours per Week: 36 - Patient Ratio: 1:5 - Orientation: 16 hours - Weekend Shifts: 4 per 4-week schedule - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1890 Job Requirements — Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry RN - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid compact state license - Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg Telemetry (Med-Surg/Tele) experience required - Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - Epic EMR/charting experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on submission profile) - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for COVID-19 only) - Ability to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry units or low-acuity ICU as needed - Travel nursing experience preferred; prior community hospital and charge nurse experience a plus Responsibilities — Med-Surg / Telemetry Nursing Duties - Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Med-Surg/Telemetry unit - Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring: interpret rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code situations - Administer medications, manage IV therapy, perform phlebotomy, and oversee blood product administration - Pre- and post-operative nursing care for cardiac cath, neurosurgery, and orthopedic procedures - Care for patients with diverse diagnoses including renal failure, substance withdrawal, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury - Manage central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and wound vacs - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services - Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR and adhere to infection control and isolation precautions - Float to other units as required to support patient care needs and unit staffing This Med-Surg Tele RN travel opportunity is ideal for experienced telemetry and Med-Surg nurses seeking travel RN jobs and Jackson, TN nursing roles.
