respect, and teamwork. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Provide
strategic direction and oversight for all pharmacy operations,
ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and hospital
policies. Manage, supervise, and evaluate pharmacy staff, promoting
professional growth and accountability. Oversee procurement,
storage, compounding, and distribution of all medications and
pharmaceutical supplies. Develop, implement, and monitor policies
and procedures to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative leadership to
support clinical initiatives and formulary management. Ensure
adherence to infection control, quality improvement, and patient
safety standards. Manage departmental budget, financial
performance, and inventory control. Serve as a resource and advisor
to medical staff regarding drug therapy, pharmacokinetics, and
evidence-based best practices. Participate in multidisciplinary
committees and hospital leadership meetings. Lead compliance
efforts with DNV, CMS, Board of Pharmacy, and other accrediting
agencies. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
degree required. Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration,
Business, or related field preferred. Licensure/Certifications:
Current and active Mississippi Pharmacist license required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
required. At least 3 years in a pharmacy management or leadership
role preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical pharmacy
services, regulatory compliance, and formulary management. Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational improvement.
Working knowledge of pharmacy automation and electronic health
