and compassionate Sonographer to join our growing healthcare team.
The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to
produce images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow for
diagnostic and interventional purposes. This role ensures accurate
image acquisition and interpretation support in accordance with
physician orders and established protocols. The Sonographer is
responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities: Perform two dimensional (2-D) ultrasonic
recordings of internal organs for the diagnosis of disease and
study of the malfunction of organs. Participates in CQI activities.
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
Perform invasive ultrasound procedures, deep abdominal studies and
color-flow ultrasound as required. Select appropriate equipment for
use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications. Explain the
test to the patient. Instructs and assists the patient in assuming
the physical position for examination. Able to assess patient pain
interfering with imaging procedure; makes appropriate physician
contact for intervention. Perform all aspects of patient care in an
environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the
likelihood of medical/health care errors. Support and maintain a
culture of safety and quality. Select a transducer and adjust the
equipment controls according to the organ to be examined, the depth
of field and other specifications of test. Enter test data and
patient information into computer of ultrasound equipment to
maintain record of test results. Move transducer, by hand, over
specified area of the body and observe sound wave display screen to
monitor quality of ultrasonic pattern produced. Produce images of
internal organs and send images to PACS. Obtain permanent record of
internal examination by photographing images of organs shown on the
display module. Discuss test results with supervisor or attending
physician. Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed.
Maintain accurate QC logs, service records, etc. Other duties as
assigned. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic
Medical Sonography program. Must be eligible for registry by the
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or
ARRT (S) Current BCLS certification Current compliance with
Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies)
