Job Description:
Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated Trucking Operations
Supervisor to join our team in the waste management division,
overseeing daily trucking operations. This role is crucial in
ensuring effective and efficient scheduling, dispatching, and
management of waste collection routes. As a Trucking Operations
Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining our
commitment to customer service and environmental sustainability, by
coordinating and supervising the activities of commercial,
residential, and industrial waste collection. Supervise daily
operations of the trucking fleet, ensuring compliance with company
policies and safety standards. Plan, allocate, and manage staff
resources according to changing needs, maximizing efficiency and
productivity. Monitor and evaluate the performance of drivers,
providing feedback, training, and performance management as needed.
Work closely with maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are in
good working condition and meet environmental regulations. Handle
the routing and scheduling of trucks to ensure optimal efficiency
and service reliability. Develop and implement improvements in
logistical processes to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to
waste management. Prepare and review operational reports and
schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Strong leadership and
personnel management skills. Excellent organizational and time
management skills. Proficient in using logistics and fleet
management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced
environment. Knowledge of safety and operational regulations in
waste management. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is
preferred. Certification in Waste Management or Environmental
Compliance is beneficial.
