Job Description:
US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor in America, seeks a
seasoned VP of Operations to enhance operational efficiencies and
continue our commitment to excellence in serving approximately
300,000 restaurants and foodservice operators nationwide. In this
key leadership role, the VP of Operations will oversee all
transportation and logistics operations, ensuring the effective
delivery of over 350,000 products, including our high-quality
private label items. The successful candidate will be instrumental
in strategic planning, process optimization, and team leadership,
directly contributing to our mission of helping businesses succeed.
Lead and manage the operations team to ensure timely and accurate
product delivery. Develop and implement strategic planning and
process improvements across all transportation and logistics
operations. Collaborate with other senior leaders to align
operations with corporate goals. Oversee budgeting, forecasting,
and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and performance.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
concerning transportation and safety. Monitor key performance
indicators (KPIs), adjusting strategies as needed to meet business
objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and
operational excellence within the team. Expertise in logistics and
supply chain management. Strong leadership and decision-making
skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability
to manage budgets and forecasts. Proficiency in logistical software
and ERP systems. Strategic thinking and problem-solving
