Take advantage of this unique temp-to-hire opportunity for one of our prestige customers in Southaven TN. Kelly-- is currently experiencing a high demand for skilled workers, and we didn't want you to miss out! Positions: Shipping Clerk Department: Shipping Office Shift & Schedule: 2 candidates, one full time, hours are 8pm to 5 am and OVERTIME is mandatory so they may work past the 5 am. The other position is Part-Time, 4pm -8pm. pay rate: $16.50 Responsibilities: The Shipping Office Clerk is responsible for daily release and tracking of orders/deliveries to floor. Handles administrative functions throughout the fulfillment process as well as support for supervisors and management as needed. Strong warehouse systems knowledge for WMS Warehouse (Oracle) orders, Excel, Outlook and Word software at intermediate or advanced level, knowledge of print functions, usage of Warehouse Control System (WCS) database, advanced knowledge of shipping documents and processes (Pick sheet, pack list, BOL's, labels, etc.). Close interaction with CSR's , Corporate staff and Managers, Customers and Southaven staff. This position requires the ability to perform these responsibilities in a safe, accurate and timely manner in accordance with Safety policy & procedures, Quality and the principles of 3Q6S, and time standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Create and distribute orders/deliveries to be processed by the Shipping Team * Record and track deliveries in database * Identify and highlight special requirements for specific deliveries * Enter information into Customer specific websites for certain Customers and generate required Customer specific shipping documents * Identify and distribute Priority/Rocket orders to the Shipping team and record on Priority/Rocket board * Print and distribute shipping documents, i.e. shipping labels, item labels, packing slips, bills of lading, etc. in a timely manner upon completion of deliveries being checked by the Shipping Team * Modify picking documents to resolve inventory issues upon completion of research by the Inventory Team * Research and provide timely response to Customer Service request * Monitor and respond to DL Shipping Office mailbox * Identify order entry/customer issues and work with Customer Service to resolve * Contact carriers and arrange for pickups, including special delivery and expedite services * Work with Shipping Leads and Management to resolve order/delivery processing issues * Close bills of lading after carrier pick-up and sign-off * Communicate with carriers to obtain delivery confirmation information * Work with IT to log, research and resolve helpdesk order processing issues * Provide back up for International Coordinator * Provide backup for Shipping Team to complete picking transaction Education & Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * 2-3 (two - three)--years experience--in warehousing/logistics required with previous experience handling administrative responsibilities preferred. * 2 (two)--years experience--utilizing WMS and MS Office in a fast paced work environment. Skills: * Computer literacy to include Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer) PC skills at an advanced level; systems knowledge at an intermediate level. ORACLE and MS AX knowledge preferred. * Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization to include customer service, sales, finance, employees and managers. * Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner; ability to respond and re-prioritize as customer service needs dictate. * Ability to develop working relationships with others and be a subject matter expert or 'go-to' for the department. * Basic understanding and ability to support international exports * Multi task within a fast pace environment * Regular attendance is essential. * Flexibility to adjust shifts with business needs. * Ability to work daily or weekly overtime as needed; to include nights, weekends as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires sitting, walking, stooping, bending, talking in person and by phone or video, visual acuity; the stamina to work the shift as scheduled and on a regular basis, ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility with exposure to heat and/or cold in accordance with weather conditions, lifting large, small or awkwardly shaped items on a regular or repeated basis as needed; extensive use of computer or other electronics equipment.
