Job Descriptions:JOB DESCRIPTION:1. Assists with training and
supervising assigned staff helping them with performance goals. 2.
Maintains attendance records for responsible employees. 3. Reports
any attendance and/or disciplinary issues to manager. 4. Maintains
strict employee, physician and management confindentiality. 5.
Monitors assigned duties of staff for correctness and completeness.
6. Offers input regarding staff evaluations and disciplinary
actions. 7. Maintains medical equipment, identifies and resolves
clinical problems as applicable. 8. Assists physician with hospital
procedures and rounds if credentialed. (RN and LPN only) 9. Perform
routine patient check-in procedures, including work-ups and new
patient history. 10. Perform precertification duties as necessary.
11. Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in computer
system as needed. 12. Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as
needed. 13. Triage patient phone calls and handle other patient
calls as appropriate. 14. Explain procedures and prep instructions
to patients. 15. Escort patients throughout the office as needed.
16. Prepare examination rooms to include cleaning and restocking of
supplies. 17. Chaperon during examination of female patients. 18.
Assist with dressing and undressing of patients as needed. 19.
Administer intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous (RN and LPN
only) medications upon direction of a physician. 20. Perform
phlebotomy for lab work and complete required forms. 21. Approve
prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of
physicians. Obtain authorizations for medication as necessary. 22.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality. 23. Assist with endoscopy
procedures as needed. 24. Successfully completes all Gastro One
training requirements (i.e. OSHA, HIPAA, safety, compliance, etc.).
25. Responsible for compliance with all regulatory requirements
and/or guidelines. These requirements/guidelines include, but are
not limited to: OSHA, HIPAA, Federal Fraud and Abuse laws. 26.
Conduct all duties in a manner which is conducive to the policies
and procedures of Gastro One. 27. Other duties as required.Required
Experience:JOB EXPOSURE DETERMINATION: Involves occupational
exposure to blood, tissue, or bodily fluids. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Office nursing experience or equivalent clinical work with the
ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, and
decision-making. Ability to use policies and procedures to solve
problems and deal with a variety of situations. Must have ability
to work effectively with patients, staff, and the public. Must be
able to identify problems, recommend solutions, and coordinate
clinic activities. Maintain current licensure and BLS
certification. JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to Clinical Services
Manager. Acts as liaison between Clinical Services Manager and
