We strive to make Stratas Foods a great place to work and are building a team capable of meeting our business goals.Job DescriptionCoordinate Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) setup and maintenance between Stratas Foods and its internal and external customers. Deliver efficiently and effectively end-user support on the use of various types of software programs while fulfilling business objectives. Troubleshooting applications and software as well as assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement on in-house applications. Understand the business units' strategy, objectives, issues and processes.ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of Document Direct, Altair Monarch, and Business ObjectsProvide daily support and maintenance of EDI reports and EDI data transactions. (IE. EDI810, 812, 850, 856, 997, 940, 943, 944, 945)Assist in development and streamlining of automated reports and processes using tools such as Document Direct, Altair Monarch, Batch files, and Microsoft Excel Macros.Provide daily user support for data analysis and gathering using reporting tools such as Business Objects, DB2, Document Direct and Altair Monarch.Recommend data mining process improvements / reporting opportunities based on existing practices.Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.Support and understand in depth the IBM system modules. IE. Orders, Contracts, Inventory, Production and Product setup.Contribute to process development and best practice. Look at new ways to improve performance levels and supportability related to data integrity and data mining.Document new processes and procedures for I.T.department. Ensure I.T. knowledgebase is kept current.Effectively participate on cross-functional teams.Manage time effectively to meet individual and project deadlines.Other I.T. projects as neededCOMPETENCIESAnalytical: Synthesize complex or diverse information, collects and researches data, designs work flow and procedures. Good analytical ability.Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively, presents numerical data effectively, able to read and interpret written information. Good oral and written communication skills.Problem Solving: Identifies and solves problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions. Strong customer service orientation.Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasive in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions. Good listening and presentation skills.Business Acumen: Understands business implications of decisions, aligns work with strategic goals. Good interpersonal relationships with peers and management.QualificationsEducation: BA/BS degree in Information Technology or related technical area preferredRelated Experience:3-5 years of technical and analytical knowledgeEDI and/or VAN experience is preferredKnowledge of different EDI transactions (810, 997)Equipment/Software Skills:Capable of using multiple software packages as tools for analysis and data entryMicrosoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint)Additional InformationPhysical: While performing duties for this job, the employee will regularly sit for extended periods of time.
