Job Title Maintenance Worker Department Building Maintenance - 40310 Pay Grade 7 Job Category Support Staff Job Summary
The Facilities Department is looking to fill three (3) vacant positions.

Work performed in a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry, and performing related work as required.

Must be able to work any shift or schedule. Overtime will be required as necessary. Facilities employees may be required to report at their regularly scheduled times during emergency closures or during inclement weather to perform essential functions including snow removal duties.

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and procedures used in general repair and maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment used in a variety of tasks as required.

  • Ability to use, clean, repair, and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery.

    Physical Demands
    • Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
    • Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
    • Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
    • Requires climbing and balancing.
    • Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
    • Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
    • Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
    • Must be able to drive a mechanical vehicle.
    • Must be able to work in high places. Required Qualifications
      • Experience in building and plant maintenance involving a variety of work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry. Preferred Qualifications
        • Completion of vocational education.
        • 2 years of experience in trade services. Salary $16.34 an hour
