-an Manufacturing Technician 2 based in Iuka, MS. -Essential
Functions:
- Performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing,
burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and
reaming.
- Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify
dimensions.
- Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate
changes to structure.
- Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical
process or other control procedures
- Working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks
- Performing rework and quality testing related to the production
of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating
data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or
equipment.
- Assisting in developing methods and procedures to control or
modify the manufacturing process.
- Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditionsBasic
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 2-years
of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or
systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or
maintenance environment---
- Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including
weekends
- This position requires the ability to perform moderate
strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending,
stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling,
twisting, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working with
arms overhead
- DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access
required to start, but not required to apply
- Must successfully complete and pass the "ASTAR New Hire
Training / Compliance" within a reasonable time period, as defined
by the company to meet its business need.
- The ability to utilize a computer for basic functions
(including navigating through windows operating system, getting
online, executing online training modules and ability to be trained
using on the job software.Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret level security clearance
- A&P License
- Composite experience and/or certification
- Previous composite, manufacturing, or production
experience
- Aircraft experience in a production or testing environment
- Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and
power hand tools (Drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws,
tape measures, scales, micrometers, dial calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical
specifications and operating procedures
- Experience working to electronic or paperwork instructions
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- May be required at some point in time to pass fit program and
respirator testSalary Range: $39,800.00 - $66,300.00The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
