School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet
these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 School Social
Worker position is available for a contract assignment running from
January 26, 2026, through June 12, 2026, located in Howell, MI.
This role supports students with intervention services both in
small group and one-on-one settings, focusing primarily on special
education students across elementary, middle, or high school
levels. Key Responsibilities: Provide social work services to a
caseload of approximately 35-45 K-12 students. Deliver intervention
support tailored to student needs in small/moderate groups and
individually. Collaborate with educators and staff to address
student behavioral and social-emotional challenges. Maintain
appropriate documentation and adhere to professional standards and
policies. Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (required).
Full Michigan Department of Education (MDE) certification as a
School Social Worker or equivalent credentials in process (SSW 310
credential letter with application started). Valid Michigan State
Social Worker license through LARA. Experience working with special
education students preferred. Ability to work onsite preferred;
virtual candidates considered if residing in Michigan due to state
fingerprinting requirements. Must pass a 9-panel drug screening.
Additional Details: Work schedule is 35 hours per week. Opportunity
available for onsite or virtual work (Michigan residents only).
Preference will be given to onsite candidates, although virtual
candidates with proper licensing and residency are accepted.
Candidates should indicate grade-level preference if applicable
(elementary, middle, or high school). This contract offers valuable
