Support students with significant developmental delays and autism diagnoses in a full-time paraprofessional role within a K-12 educational setting located in Corning, NY. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by assisting students who require assistance with daily living skills and behavioral support across multiple districts. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to students from kindergarten through age 21 with developmental delays and autism Assist with toileting, feeding, ambulation, and other activities of daily living Implement behavior management strategies and support elopement prevention efforts Use communication devices to facilitate student engagement, including with many non-verbal students Participate in Therapeutic De-escalation Training provided by the district, required for assignment Collaborate with school staff to ensure effective support tailored to each students needs Desired Experience and Qualifications: Prior experience supporting students in high-needs or behavioral settings Ability to manage toileting and feeding support with sensitivity and care Comfortable working onsite at multiple school sites across Bath, Hornell, and Jasper-Troupsburg areas Strong communication skills and patience working with non-verbal students Willingness to complete required training programs Location: Onsite positions located throughout Bath, Hornell, and Jasper-Troupsburg school districts near Corning, NY This role offers the satisfaction of directly supporting vulnerable students in an educational environment with clear expectations and specialized training.
